Langley Speedway Street Rod & Muscle Car Show
Langley Speedway hosted a Street Rod & Muscle Car show on Saturday May 2, 2009. There was a nice turn out and I recognized quite a few cars I’ve noticed while out and about in the Hampton Roads area. The show was held by the Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council and Langley Speedway to benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp Foundation which was started in 2004 by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their son Adam who passed away in 2000. Victory Junction enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment.
Good cause and great cars!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the event. As always, the full set of pictures can be viewed and purchased in my gallery. If you belong to one of the local car clubs who participated in the event and wish to use some of the shots on your own web sites just contact me (my email address is in the contact link at the top of this site) and I will be sure to size them down and email them to you ready to be uploaded to your own site.
Rosewell in 360
I wanted to see if I was able to upload and display 360 degree interactive panoramics and I just so happen to have an image to test it with.
I took this a while back to test out my newly aquired Nodal Ninja Pano Head. Using my Tokina AT-X 107 AF DX 10-17mm Fish-Eye Zoom on a Nikon D100 I was able to stitch together 9 shots to create an interactive flash based 360 degree panoramic image. As seen below.
Be sure to try it out it full-screen by clicking the button in the lower right. As I said, it is fully interactive so click and drag on it to fly around the image.
